Open House at Bluefaced in Chester, UK

Yesterday was once again a beautiful sunny day here in Northwest England. And what better to do than go down and visit the folks at Bluefaced!

Down at their stables outside the city of Chester, fibre enthusiasts of all persuasions spread out over the lawn with wheel, spindle, needles or hook to soak up the sun and sing the praises of British wool over tea and scones.

Not only were the friendly folks from Bluefaced showcasing their wares, but there were also friendly faces from Fyberspates, The Natural Dye Studio, Laughing Hens and DT Craft & Design.

And yes, even though I am going to the Knitting & Stitiching Show in less than two weeks, I did break down and buy myelf a little something: a one-kilo cone of superwash Bluefaced Leicester sock wool and a five dye starter kit. That should keep our tootsies warm and colorful for a while...
